When my friend and colleague Mwai invited me to design a collection for her new homegoods store, I jumped at the chance.

I knew her new venture will offer quality artisanal goods and have ethical policies and to top it off Mwai will be donating 10% of the profits to build community workshops in her home country - Zambia.
