Light and Airy Handpainted Stationery

A styled shoot to entice thrillseekers and nature lovers. Creative design and planning by Love from Mwai and stunning light-filled photography by Stepan Vrzala. With a view overlooking the Zambezi River, artful floral centrepieces and light and airy tableware - this setting will charm the most romantic of souls.

Beginning with the invitation suite I wanted to highlight the beautiful lush foliage that surrounds the venue and the banks of the Zambezi. Using this as inspiration I created a vellum wrap to encapsulate the invitation suite with a metallic rose gold hand-painted botanical artwork atop. For the invitation and matching reply card and details insert, I kept things minimal with thoughtful type in light French blue ink. The suite was finished with white silk ribbons, rose gold wax seals and complimentary vintage postage.

With the day-of paper goods, we worked with the same botanical illustration as the invitation wrap, this time having it digitally printed in the same French blue and adding it to the place cards. The place cards were then attached to the menus with a rose gold eyelet keeping in theme with the wedding colour palette. The menus were kept simple, again with thoughtfully chosen type and formatting to give space for the illustrated place cards.
